What is TOPSoccer?
US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the Smyrna Clayton Soccer Club.
The History of TOPSoccer
TopSoccer began in 1991, designed and administered by US Youth Soccer the nation’s largest youth sports organization and its volunteers TOPSoccer Committee, to provide meaningful learning, development, and physical participation opportunities to these young athletes through the game of soccer. There are thousands of children with disabilities who need, and can be provided the opportunity to play, soccer through TOPSoccer. That opportunity exists for these athletes to achieve, develop, and complete, according to their individual abilities. In 2016, the Smyrna Clayton Soccer Club introduced TOPSoccer to the Smyrna/Clayton community. A whole new world awaits these children by the efforts of people like you, reaching out to bring them into the soccer family.
